DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A defensive tackle is charged with beating a Broward Sheriff’s deputy in a “violent attack” that left the deputy “dazed,” according to our news partners at the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Prosecutors say there’s surveillance video that shows Malik McDowell, of the Cleveland Browns, going onto the property of a Deerfield Beach learning center while naked on Monday, while it was in session.

McDowell, 25, is charged with exposing himself in public, resisting arrest with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.

He has had several run-ins with the law, including assault on police. That got him suspended for the first two weeks of the 2019 NFL season.

McDowell worked out with the Miami Dolphins on Oct. 21, 2020.
