WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The mask mandate for teachers and visitors in the School District of Palm Beach County will remain for at least another week.

Late Friday afternoon, the district sent an email to parents, guardians and staff saying Superintendent Mike Burke:

“has decided that it remains in the best interest of our schools, students, and staff to keep the current facial covering requirement for those individuals in place for another week. He will re-evaluate the situation again on January 28.”
