WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The woman charged with stabbing her boyfriend five times could be getting out of jail after almost a month.

Thursday, a judge granted Bonnie Quick’s motion to cut her bond in half, from $100,000 to $50,000.

Quick, 63, is charged with attempted second-degree murder, without premeditation, for the incident on March 21, outside the couple’s home in Boca Raton.

Her arrest report said the victim told deputies, “The argument began due to Quick wanting [him] to give her $20,000 in order for her to purchase a truck.”

Then, he ran inside and woke up their housemate, “pounding on his bedroom door, screaming that he needed an ambulance.”

Quick would not be allowed to have contact with the victim if she gets out of jail.

Also, she waived arraignment, pleaded not guilty and demanded a jury trial.

Plus, her public defender asked for more time to file motions, including a motion to dismiss.

Quick is due back for hearing on Zoom, July 1.
