2 indecent exposure charges for what women saw on patio, suspect left on glass door

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — This case involves the long arm of the law since it happened well over a year ago, on March 21 of last year.

In fact, a West Palm Beach police officer didn’t sign the arrest report until July 23, 2021.

It said, “Victim 1 provided a sworn statement. She advised that she was sitting on her couch inside her apartment when she noticed the offender, a [man], standing just outside of her sliding glass door, looking into her home.

“She described the offender standing on the concrete slab within the apartment patio.

“She stated that the offender had his [body part] exposed in his hand and he was [sexual act].

“The offender wiped the glass with a black shirt after apparently [leaving DNA] onto the sliding glass door.

“Victim 2 provided a sworn statement. She corroborated Victim 1’s account

“DNA evidence was collected and forwarded for processing. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office DNA lab confirmed the presence of sperm cells associating the offender and the DNA from the swabs obtained from the victim’s patio.”

Devonte Allen, 28, was charged with two counts of indecent exposure and one count of burglary to an unoccupied dwelling.

He was just booked last Thursday, Sept. 8, at 7:40 a.m., and released in lieu of $30,000 bond the next night at 10:52 p.m.
