COLUMBUS, Miss. (TND) — A woman in Mississippi is being held without bond on charges of killing a man in a domestic violence incident, with the whole incident streamed live on Facebook.
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office said deputies went to the couple’s home Saturday morning and found a 28-year-old man dead from a single gunshot wound.
They arrested Kadejah Michelle Brown, 28, who was charged with murder.
WCBI reported the victim was her husband, Jeremy Brown, and the couple had been arguing most of the night. The station also said he was trying to leave and defuse the situation when he was killed.
”It appeared that Brown and the victim were involved in an argument that turned physical,” the sheriff’s office said. “This incident was captured on audio-video on Facebook Live.”
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while deputies recovered a 9 mm handgun and other physical evidence.
The incident remains under investigation but, “there was a history of domestic violence between Brown and the victim,” Sheriff Eddie Hawkins said.
