Traffic stop turns up a lot of pot: 60 lbs. worth $90,000, deputies say

LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. (WPEC/TND) — A traffic stop this week in Florida didn’t just end with a ticket. Authorities ended up making a major drug bust and arresting the driver.

Deputies working in Lake Worth Beach pulled over Nicketa Divernat on Wednesday night.

Her arrest report has not yet been released, but the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said deputies seized more than 60 lbs. of high-grade marijuana, with an estimated street value of $90,000.

Divernat, 25, is charged with trafficking marijuana — more than 25 lbs. or 300 plants, possession of drugs to be trafficked, and a public nuisance crime.

She was booked into jail at 1:21 a.m. Thursday and her bond was set at $28,000.

At this point, a judge ruled her “bond source requirement” has been “satisfied” but she has not yet been released from the Main Detention Center.
