LADY LAKE, Fla. (TND) — A man in Florida went from a golf cart to a police squad car after he didn’t come to a full and complete stop at a stop sign.
An officer in Lady Lake wrote about the driver of a light blue golf cart last Wednesday morning, Oct. 25.
”He reduced speed due to the intersection being a posted four-way stop,” the arrest report said. “The golf cart never came to a complete stop at the stop sign, before or after approaching the visible stop bar.”
Timothy Davidson made a right turn, and the officer pulled him over.
”Upon querying Timothy’s driving history, it revealed his license to be revoked as of 02/12/2009.”
Apparently, that wasn’t the only violation in the 54 year old’s past.
”I then queried Timothy’s driving history which revealed three previous guilty convictions on 05/30/2013 12/12/2018 and 03/05/2019,” the officer wrote.
The 2018 incident was also in Lake County. He was adjudicated guilty of knowingly driving without a valid license and not having a motor vehicle registration.
This time, the officer arrested Davidson for driving without a valid license, third or subsequent offense, which is a felony.
Davidson ended up spending more than 24 hours behind bars before his release in lieu of $2,000 bond.
But he didn’t get a ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign; just a written warning.
