OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — A 44-year-old woman in Oklahoma City has been charged with two crimes in connection to her mother’s recent suicide.
Police said on Sept. 10, investigators started looking into the death of 73-year-old Lynda Watts, who they found died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
During the investigation, detectives learned her daughter, Jaydee Watts, intentionally gave her mother a firearm, prompting her to take her own life.
The case went to the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office and they filed an arrest warrant for felony murder by caretaker abuse and kidnapping.
Jaydee Watts was booked into jail in Midwest City, Okla., and has since been released on bond.
At this time, authorities say the investigation is still in its early stages.
