CARLISLE, Pa. (TND) — A woman who shot another in the chest, and was identified by her victim before she died, has been sentenced to decades behind bars.

On Friday, Breanna Black pleaded guilty to charges of third-degree murder and persons not to possess a firearm, and she was immediately sentenced to the maximum: 30–60 years in prison.

Black shot Beth Schwartz in the chest on April 9 and the victim “was able to call 911, where she told dispatchers that she had been shot by ‘Bree’ and was dying,” according to the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office in Pennsylvania.

Schwartz, 48, was taken to two hospitals but died a few hours after she was shot.

WHP reported Black and Schwartz knew each other and had an argument while on the phone.

Then, Black left home with a 9mm Smith & Wesson pistol to confront Schwartz in a parking lot.

Members of Schwartz’s family spoke at the hearing, including her sister who told the judge that the justice achieved on this day was a birthday gift for Beth.
