LOUISVILLE, Ky. (TND) — A man famous for hosting a show on the Food Network is now appearing in a police booking photo since he’s facing several serious criminal charges.

St. Matthews police in Kentucky announced they arrested Darnell Ferguson on Tuesday “for his alleged involvement in a domestic violence case.”

They said he’s charged with burglary, strangulation, assault with minor injury, terroristic threatening, menacing, criminal mischief, and theft of a stolen credit or debit card.

Authorities added, they released that information “due to his celebrity status as a chef,” but, “Given the sensitive nature of domestic violence incidents and the fact this is still an open investigation, we are restricted in the details that can be released.”

Public records from the Kentucky Court of Justice show Ferguson is involved in three active cases.
