GOLDEN GATE, Fla. (TND) — Authorities in Florida want to catch a convicted felon who detectives say stabbed two men at a bar, last week, killing one of them.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office got an arrest warrant for Vicente Ramirez of Naples, for second-degree murder.

Deputies said they found the victims at the El Catrin Sports Bar and Nightclub just after 2:30 a.m. last Sunday, March 3.

One “had been stabbed up to approximately seven times in the neck and upper torso,” and he “went into cardiac arrest during air transport.”

The man, later identified as Amado Benetiz, was pronounced dead at the hospital and the sheriff’s office said the manner of his death was ruled a homicide.

The victim’s wife told WBBH that four strangers approached his 23-year-old son, Elvin Luque, and one stabbed Luque with a knife.

Then, Benetiz jumped in to protect his son, and was stabbed to death.
