WILDWOOD, Fla. (TND) — A cyber tip with an IP address from one Internet Crimes Against Children task force agency to another ended with a Florida man facing 30 counts of possession of child pornography.

That tip from mid-February started with Microsoft, led to a subpoena for the IP address, and then a search warrant for Michael Henry Roseman’s home in Wildwood.

“The defendant stated he understood why we were at his residence,” his arrest report said, “and stated he has stumbled upon several images depicting minor children engaged in sexual activity.”

The detective investigating Roseman’s case wrote, “The defendant disclosed that it started when he began to research incest in the form of pornography.”

It continued, “The defendant was able to describe in great detail the image that was depicted in the ICAC cyber tip.”

But there was reportedly a lot more.

“The dependent was asked if he ever stored or saved any of the images or videos,” the detective wrote, and, “The defendant stated he would copy and save.

“The defendant also disclosed that he would often masturbate or reach sexual gratification while viewing the images/videos depicting children engaged in sexual activity.

“The defendant advised he has been viewing this type of material for approximately 10 years.”

Then, it said, Roseman pointed the detective to a folder labeled “44” where the detective reported seeing “hundreds of files depicting images/videos depicting prepubescent children engaged in sexual activity.”

The detective chose 30 videos and photos for charging purposes and described them in detail, most of which cannot be repeated in this forum.

Each of the 30 counts of possession of child pornography is a third-degree felony.

Roseman, 69, was booked last Tuesday afternoon, March 5, and he’s being held without bond.
