OCALA, Fla. – Cops called to the home of a couple for a disturbance quickly learned there were a couple of disturbances, and the girlfriend was arrested because “of the physical altercation earlier in the day.”

Later, her boyfriend – also a senior citizen – apparently tried to retaliate.

The arrest report said Kathleen Ann Danielson “struck her boyfriend [of] 14 years … in the face outside of the front doors” of a poker hall in Florida on Dec. 28.

Officers said the boyfriend told them, “Danielson came up to him, and hit and pushed him, after he caught her cheating on him.

“Danielson advised she walked outside to talk to [her boyfriend] and asked why he did not say goodbye to her when he left.

“She then advised he stood up and got in her face, and she pushed him to create space between them. She advised [her boyfriend] grabbed her arm, then broke her necklace.

“Both parties denied striking the other.

“There was a very small purple bruise on the top of Danielson’s left forearm. [The boyfriend] advised he grabbed her arm to hold her away from him, after she struck him.”

Luckily for authorities, the “he said/she said” was about to be broken up by what a surveillance camera caught.

“Video footage from the incident shows [the boyfriend] sitting outside of the front door of the business,” the arrest report continued, “and Danielson standing up, walking towards [her boyfriend], exchanging words, and Danielson hitting [her boyfriend] several times, and [her boyfriend] falling backwards, then standing up.

“More words are exchanged.

“Danielson hits [her boyfriend] on the left shoulder; more words are exchanged; [the boyfriend] pours water on Danielson.

“Danielson strikes [her boyfriend] in the face again, and in the arm twice, while [her boyfriend] has it outstretched to keep distance.”

Danielson, 66, was charged with domestic battery on a person 65 or older, which is a felony. Her boyfriend is a year older than her.

She was arrested, and her bond was set at $1,000, along with a no-contact order with no exceptions. Danielson was released from jail after 15 hours.

Then, 12 days later, something unusual happened.

Her lawyer filed a “Motion to Modify Bond Conditions,” writing,

“The Defendant has received notification from her landlord that the alleged victim, [name], is placing the Defendant’s belongings at the curb, and has posted the Defendant’s car and other belongings for sale on Facebook Marketplace.”

The motion included screenshots, and a few days later, the judge granted the motion,

permitting “a third party” to go to the home, “in the presence of a Law Enforcement Officer, for the purpose of taking possession of any personal belongings that the parties agree are owned by the Defendant, Kathleen Danielson.”

Danielson pleaded not guilty, and she’s scheduled to be arraigned next Tuesday, Jan. 28.

Her other brush with the law, at least in Marion County, happened in 2009, when she was charged with retail petit theft.
