“The victim stated the defendant called her a liar, then proceeded to smack her in the face three times.

“The victim stated the defendant then pushed her away, at which time the victim threw [a] glass of water to separate from the incident.”

Then, the officer got Davis’ side of the story.

“The victim came up to her gossiping about her and her romantic life,” the arrest report said. “The defendant stated she had had enough of the gossiping, at which time she smacked the victim in the face.

“The defendant stated the victim threw water towards her, at which point she returned to the victim and smacked her again.”

Davis, 78, was arrested for simple battery and she spent three hours behind bars before her release in lieu of $1,000 bond.

She was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.

Court records show Davis petitioned for an injunction for protection against domestic violence against her husband in November 2023.

The next month, she filed for divorce and the final judgment came in March 2024.

She’s due back in court in a few weeks. Her arraignment is scheduled for March 4.
