“Upon my arrival,” a deputy in Florida wrote on Saturday evening, Sept. 14, “I made contact with the victim, who advised that he went to the defendant’s camper to let him know that the volume on his television was too loud.

“The victim stated that the defendant then started to argue with him, which escalated to a physical altercation.

“The victim advised that the defendant started to claw him in the face and arms. The victim advised that he attempted to restrain the defendant on the bed, to which the defendant bit him on his right wrist.

“The victim then stated that he left the defendant’s camper.”

Details on the victim were redacted from the arrest report. All that’s known is he’s a man over the age of 65.

The deputy visited neighbor Richard Fredrick Paauwe and was told,

“The victim came into his camper and proceeded to strangle him over the television being too loud.

“The defendant stated that he then proceeded to claw and bite the victim,” the arrest report continued, “due to being in fear for his life.

“The defendant advised that when the victim left his camper, he proceeded to go back to sleep.”

The deputy didn’t write whether the victim needed medical treatment; only,

“It should be noted that I observed multiple lacerations on the victim’s face, under his right eye, and on his right arm. I also observed a bite mark on the victim’s right wrist, and his eyes were also bloodshot.

“I did not observe any visual marking on the defendant. I also observed blood stains on the defendant’s fingernails.”
